To supplement our week of volunteer appreciation events, we put together a few at-home activities and a 2021 Yearbook filled with volunteer highlights to help you celebrate no matter where you are.
At-home party kit
Yet another year of amazing volunteer accomplishments! The 2021 Yearbook highlights just some of your amazing work. Thank you for making it incredibly difficult to pick which stories to share - there are so many to choose from!
Tougher than a New York Times Saturday, put your WTA volunteer know-how to the test with this crossword puzzle. If you're stuck, the second page of the puzzle shows the answers.
Trip Report Mad Libs
In case you didn't see last year's blog article, we put together three trip report mad libs. Some of you may be winding down your real hiking as we approach winter, so grab a friend (or a few) and go for a silly hike without leaving your house.
How it works
- Click onto the images below to download and print a PDF version.
- Have one person ask for the missing words, but don’t give away any other details of the story. The parentheses under each blank tells you what type of word you need.
- Read your completed story aloud to hear the oddball phrases and goofy scenery you’ve conjured up.
Did you know that we have a large collection of volunteer profiles, interviews, and accomplishment stories spanning the last 16 years? You can read these whenever you like, of course, but this week was a good time celebrate years of volunteer service by sharing the collection. It's constantly updated, too, so you might want to bookmark that page.
