The Pine Marten trail makes a 4 mile out and back hike on the southeast side of Mount St. Helens. It starts from the Marble Mountain Sno-Park and parallels the Lava Canyon Road, crossing the June Lake Trail and ending at a junction with the Lava Canyon Road. In winter it makes a wonderful rolling snowshoe, and it is possible to link this trail with other trails in the area to make  loop hikes of varying lengths and difficulties.
