The Source Lake trail has an avalanche chute early on in the trail. Be familiar with navigating avalanche terrain and go prepared if you hike this trail in winter
 
 

A popular trail in summertime, the route crosses multiple avalanche chutes on its way to Source Lake. It is important to be prepared for snow travel in avalanche terrain if you visit in the winter.
