Though this trail starts with a climb, it lessens as you make your way through open meadow and old growth alike. At roughly half a mile from the the top you'll find the Thorp Mountain Trail that will take you to the peak, complete with a fire lookout, where views open up of the surrounding area. But be aware that the final ascent to the top is steep, but the views just might be worth it and the fire lookout provides a nice destination to rest. From the lookout you can continue on to the top of No Name Ridge, where the trail ends.

Getting There

For the northern end of the No Name Ridge Trail:
From Roslyn head north on Salmon La Sac Road (Highway 903) for about 13.5 miles, then turn left onto Forest Road 46 for about 7.5 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 4617 (this should be the first left after passing Cooper Lake). A little after a mile on this road, turn left at the fork and drive for another 3.1 miles to the top of the ridge. The trailhead is in the southeast end of the turnaround. From the turnoff of Road 46 expect rough roads that are best suited for a high clearance vehicle.
