Type of Hike

Trail Conditions

Obstacles on trail:
    Trees down across trail,
    Difficult stream crossing(s),
    Bridge out,
    Muddy or wet trail.

Road rough but passable

Bugs were not too bad

Snowfields to cross - could be difficult

We counted a total of 6 downed trees blocking the trail, 2 of which covered the trail the length of the tree leaving you really only 2 choices. If you choose to go around watch out for ticks! Also encountered several patches of snow, mud and running water covering trail. Note: Just before you hit the damaged bridge (from Icicle Creek Trailhead) there are 2 beautiful campsites at waters edge.

Hey! I have a 4 night loop planned for the area next week and was curious if you were able to cross despite the bridge being out? Did you do the entirety of the creek? Thanks for the report!

No way. We stayed at the junction campsite. The water is just too high and fast. Once you see the bridge you'll see what I'm talking about. Super sketchy! Risk to reward just wasn't there for me. 😄
