This is a great time of year to take on Mt.Pugh. It is a tough nut to crack though, over 5000' elevation in around 5 miles. The upper portions are decidedly more a scramblers terrain, but even a trip to Stujack Pass is a worthwhile adventure regardless. Trail is mostly clear of debris, the talus portion to Stujack Pass can be rough. Last water is pretty much at Lake Metan, and bugs aren't too bad. Read more at:
