2011 Top Trip Reporters
The top trip reporters of 2011, as well as a summary of this year's trip report statistics so far.
The beginning of fall last week and the rainy start to Monday morning has us thinking about the astounding trip reporting that has been going on all year.
Despite a late start to the season, 4,338 Trip Reports have been written this year - 600 more than all of last year. And more hikers are contributing their experiences and information to wta.org - 1688 different people have written at least one trip report in 2011.
At WTA, we are so appreciative to this group of hikers for keeping us informed about the conditions of our favorite trails. With the late arrival of summer, being able to learn from other hikers about lingering snowfields and challenging stream crossings was incredibly important for our own enjoyment on a hike and for safety. And it's always great to know about where the wildflowers are blooming and the views from the trail. Thank you to all of the hikers who have shared a Trip Report!
There are a few folks we want to highlight for the their hiking accomplishments and their willingness to share their experiences after every hike.
