This short, steep in places, route to Thorp Mountain has flowers, berries, and views along the way. The big payoff is the grand vista from the lookout, as befits its location as the highest point for many miles in all directions.

A multi-use trail system in the city of Roslyn, the trails here offer a variety of outings that can be enjoyed by many different users. Views here extend across the Teanaway Valley to the snow covered peaks of the Stuart Range and even Mount Rainier in the southern distance.

A sub-alpine meadow teeming with wildflowers greets hikers who make their way up the Bean Creek Basin. Beginning along Beverly Creek as it tumbles past the trailhead, the trail then climbs up Bean Creek to the colorful meadow from which it is fed.

Rising close to 4,000 feet out of the Cle Elum River Valley to meet the Yellow Hill Trail, the Jolly Mountain Trail presents a vigorous climb to a rambunctious ridgeline and perky panoramic summit with breathtaking mountain range views for miles of West Teanaway, the Enchantments, Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier and Mount Adams that you are likely to have all to yourself.

Following an abandoned trail, Howson Creek provides an enjoyable hike in light forest. The trail is steep and the tread is narrow, but it offers progressively better views above 4000 feet, north toward Thorp Mountain and the Snoqualmie Peaks, especially from West Sasse Peak.

This is a pleasant hike through sparse east-of-snoqualmie pine forests. Once off trail, you will be ascending alpine meadows of kinnikinnick, heather, low blueberries until you reach the talus and rocky top of the peak.

The lesser known creek between Bean and Stafford, Standup offers a gentle valley followed by steepness to an open hillside and ridge with views. But this quiet hike is only accessible via a road only appropriate for high-clearance vehicles.
